Ready to Take Flight

Having enjoyed browsing, and having become a follower of, blogs of artists whose work I admire, I’ve decided to create my own.  For the past two months, I’ve been sporadically working on my blog, as well as a small watercolor painting.  They are both finally done and ready to take off.

Monarch on Marigold, 8x8 Watercolor, ©J. Cellucci

I would like to use this blog as a way of sharing my art with other watercolor artists.  I will also share other noteworthy news.  I don’t expect to be posting as actively as others, but will try to build on this start.
My appreciation to all of the artists who share so much of their wonderful art and advice in their posts.

Thank you for stopping by my blog and left your encouraging words. I love your paintings shown on the website and hope to see more of them here! From what I see the way I work is quite similar to you -- I can see you pay great attention to details, spend painstaking time to render the form through subtle color and value changes using thinly applied glazes as well as wet-blended colors, and you love trying out new things -- new subjects, new mediums, new surface to paint on... I will be submitting to Southern Colorado Watercolor Society's Biannual Show this year. If I am lucky enough to get in, it would be great to be able to meet you in person! ^___^
